LA SALETTE

Sonoma, CA

This is a lovely restaurant. It’s located in the back of a small, California-style strip mall, which means you’re not going to find a Subway shop or Dollar store! We sat outside because…it’s Sonoma in April!

The cuisine is Portuguese; admittedly a cultural flavor of which I was unaccustomed. Their base flavors are familiar, however, and include tomatoes, onions, parsley, garlic, wine. These are infused with other exotic Portuguese spices.

My soup (totally the wrong description for this complex and filling dish) was layer after layer of beautiful flavors and colors. I hope you have a chance to visit not just this gorgeous area, but La Salette, too!
