The majority of the recipes on Edible Musings are my own creation, and most have been inspired by others or my favorite “pre-plant-based” days! Some are a direct copy of awesome recipes written by others, and they are acknowledged on the recipe.
All of the recipes posted on Edible Musings are made without any animal products or by-products which means there is no:
- meat, chicken, fish or any other animal derivitives
- eggs, dairy or cheese
- gelatin
The recipes use limited sugar, oil and salt. Some recipes include soy items like organic tofu, soy curls, miso, and tempeh. Some recipes are not gluten-free as they may include seitan or a whole wheat flour or bread. Where possible, I provide substitutions.
All of the recipes include nutrient rich, healthy and life-sustaining whole, plant-based foods such as:
- grains and pasta – quinoa, brown rice, freekah, couscous…
- beans and peas – chickpeas, lentils, black-eyed, edamame, pinto, red…
- seeds – sesame, chia, flax, hemp…
- nuts – cashew, walnut, pecan…
- vegetables – zucchini, corn, pepper, summer squash, cucumber, parsnips, carrots, celery…
- fruit – apple, blueberry, pear, peach, watermelon, avocado, tomato…
- potatoes and squash – russet, red, sweet, butternut, spaghetti, acorn…
- greens – kale, chard, spinach, bok choy, cabbage…
- …AND LOTS OF LOVE
