BLACK BEAN BROWNIES
These brownies are a great alternative to traditional brownies! It’s amazing how they taste like chocolate and fudge and I dare anyone to taste beans!

Makes 16-20 pieces, depending on how big you cut them
Prep time: 10 min
Cook time: 30 min
Ingredients
- 15 ounces no-salt black beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 whole and ripe bananas
- ⅓ cup agave nectar
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¼ cup raw sugar(optional)
- ½ cup non-dairy chocolate chips (optional, but I wouldn’t recommend omitting)
- ½ cup chopped walnuts (optional)
- ¼ cup instant oats or oat flour (you can make your own oat flour by running the oats through food processer first)
- If you prefer a more cake-like brownie, add another ¼ cup of oats or oat flour.
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Using oil spray, coat an 8×8″ pan.
- Combine all ingredients, except oats, in a food processor or blender and blend until smooth, scraping sides as needed.
- Stir in the oats until blended well. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts, and pour batter into the pan.
- Bake approximately 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean from the center of the pan.
It’ll be hard, but you have to let them cool before slicing. Share or not, but enjoy!
